Elsa Louise Kronenbitter Culler passed away on November 27, 2016 to join the Lord. She was born in Silver Spring, Maryland on July 19, 1925. She was predeceased by her parents, Christian and Kate Lillish Kronenbitter and step mother Emily Kronenbitter, her older sister Edith Thompson and her husband Roger S. Culler Jr.



Elsa’s mother passed away shortly after giving birth and Elsa went to live in the Bronx with her Lillish aunts. At age eleven she returned to live with her father, stepmother Emily and sisters Edith and Edna in Silver Spring.

She was predeceased by her parents, Christian and Kate Lillish Kronenbitter and step mother Emily Kronenbitter, her older sister Edith Thompson and her husband Roger S. Culler Jr.



Elsa’s mother passed away shortly after giving birth and Elsa went to live in the Bronx with her Lillish aunts. At age eleven she returned to live with her father, stepmother Emily and sisters Edith and Edna in Silver Spring.



Elsa married Roger on December 23, 1944 while he was still in the Navy. After the birth of their son Carl they bought their house in Woodmoor, Silver Spring, MD where they spent the rest of their married years.



Elsa worked various part-time positions when Carl was young. She then went to work for the University of Maryland, Veterans Affairs from which she ultimately retired.



She moved to Spring Hill, Fl., a few years after Roger passed away in 1990. She then moved to Newton, NJ to be near her son, grandkids and great grandkids.



She is survived by her son Carl Culler and his wife Kathy; her grandchildren Stephanie Stashluk and her husband Albert; Bryan Culler and his wife Jen; and four great grandchildren Julia, Christian, Devin and Brynn.
